Kingman Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is a rural EMS service that provides advanced life support to the majority of Kingman County, Kansas. Kingman EMS is located in downtown Kingman with the fire department next to city hall. Two people staff the office Monday through Friday 8-5 while staffing an ambulance 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Kingman EMS also heads up the Kingman Rescue, which provides additional medical assistance when responding to calls in the county as well as providing extrication services.
Kingman EMS employs a variety of certifications from EMT to RN. The two full time employees is Director Zach Bieghler, Paramedic, and Clint Drosselmeyer, EMT. Zach obtained his EMT certification in 2002 from Hutchinson Community College, and later obtained his Paramedic in 2005 from Hutchinson Community College. Zach is also a Kansas instructor coordinator, certified to instruct EMS courses up to the level of paramedic. Clint obtained his EMT from Hutchinson Community College in 2011. Clint is new to the profession and has already proven himself as a valuable and competent EMT to the Kingman EMS team. Most of the remaining staff work full-time elsewhere and dedicate themselves to the department during their evenings and weekends off.
